Baby, If you ever wondered...

After two days here in Cincinnati, I still have the theme song to the TV series "WKRP in Cincinnati" stuck in my head. I wonder if this is something that happens to all of the cities visitors. Eric had an big day. Since he is no longer in the ICU, Wes was allowed to visit him. Wes hasn't gotten to see his brother since he was just a few days old. He seemed fascinated by whom he called "Baby Ock". It was so nice to have the family together. This evening Eric had another minor surgical procedure. The had to replace his central IV line and also performed an upper endoscopy. It went well and the doctors were able to see what they needed to. The immunologist now think that this is not an immune deficiency but rather an autoimmunity. So, it seems his immune system is not weak, but rather is having a response against his GI track. They are currently planning on starting him on immunosuppressive therapy in the form of steroids on Monday. They want to run a few more tests first. The steroids should give his intestines a chance to heal. Sorry I didn't take a picture with my phone tonight. I'm 700 miles from cell phone charger and my battery is dead. I should be able to pick one up tomorrow and be back in business. Thanks to everyone for keeping us in you thoughts and leaving comments on this site. Nikki and I read them all and it is nice to have reminders of how much everyone is thinking of us.
