His diarrhea continues to decrease and the GI doctors are very encouraged by his progress. The immunologist are still waiting on test results before they give any diagnosis.
They are changing how they deliver his nutrition so that rather than being continuous, he will get it in cycles every few hours. This gives the doctors some more flexibility in the medications they can give him, since there are some that are incompatible with his TPN (IV nutrition). It also lets his body get prepared to the change in blood sugar level that he will experience once he starts feeding.
I took Wes to the zoo this morning. It's only a few blocks from the hospital. He had a great time. We got to see a condor up close and a couple manatees. Wes is just as interested it watching people as in seeing animals.

What encouraging news!! It was good to hear that you were able to take Wes to the zoo. If I remember correctly, my mom use to like watching people, too. Take Care and I catch up on Monday. Love ya and miss ya.
Oh, he is very cute!
Eric looks great! Glad to hear things are progressing. We're thinking of him and love to hear the updates!
