He's Eric Kendall and he approves this message

Eric still seems to be feeling fine today. One of the tests they ran yesterday showed he has a bladder infection. He has had a foley catheder in for about three weeks which made him susceptable to this. It's not that big of a deal compared to everything else going on. They just added another antibiotic to his cocktail and took out the catheder.

We talked to the immunologist today. He doesn't have any definitive answers yet. He can tell based on his diagnostic studies that Eric does have an immunodeficiency, but so far has not been able to specifically classify it as one that is known and documented. He is going to continue to run more genetic tests to look for known markers.

Whether they can find the exact deficiency that Eric has or not, it sounds like the treatment will be about the same. If he gets better with the immunosuppressive therapy, they will try to wean him from the immunosuppressants. If that doesn't work, Eric will probably need a bone marrow transplant. They have quite a bit of experience with these and almost make it sound common.

Tommorrow I have to start working from our branch office rather than my hotel room. It will be nice to get the change of scenery. The dress code is a little stricter than my hotel room, so I had to go out and buy some slacks and shirts tonight.

Hey David & Nikki!

It's Kay from Children's in Omaha. Eric is looking good! I am so glad that you are all adjusting to life there in Cincy. And, I'm sure that Nikki makes better chili than Cincinnati Chili ...I do as well! However, when ya grow up on it (as I did) it becomes a rather nostalgic food I guess.... Watch out for the White Castles! They don't call them "sliders" for nothin'! Mmmmmmm really missing a cheese coney with onions & mustard about now!!!
