Off again, On again

They took Eric off the ventilator this morning. Unfortunately, it was a lot of work for him to keep breathing so they decided it was best that he be on it for a while longer. We are hoping that we can try sometime next week.

He was off the ventilator and awake the neurologist was able to get a better assessment of his condition. There are definite signs that he suffered damage to his brain from the stroke. He was not alert, but did have some reflexes. We still don't know how much of this is permanent.
